Looking for something fun and FREE to do with the entire family this Spring? Look no further than Houston’s Hobby Fest, a festival over twenty years old offering an array of activities as well as insight to the aviation and aircraft industry!

Rain or shine, Saturday April 16th from 10AM to 4PM, families all over the greater Houston are are invited to hang out in the hangars of Hobby Airport’s East Ramp. Hobby Fest is free to the public, all ages welcome, with an “entry fee” of just one non-perishable food item; the items collected at Hobby Fest entrance will benefit the Rotary Club of Gulfway-Hobby Airport and local families.

“Gulfway-Hobby Airport Rotary Club, over this 50 years plus time span has been one of the most active, “Service Above Self” clubs in District 5890. All of our activities have been dedicated to the high principals of Rotary and many great projects have been accomplished over the years for fellow Rotarians, our community, our nation and the world.”

Hobby Fest will include numerous free activities, including face painting, a video game bus, balloon art, moonwalks, an interactive mad scientist exhibit and dancing with a live DJ!

Patrons of Hobby Fest with Boy Scouts in their lives will be interested to know that Aviation, Crime Prevention and Fire Safety merit badges will be available to earn.

Airplanes and vintage aircraft on display throughout the hangar, raffles featuring restaurant and hotel gift certificates will be up for grabs and a BBQ competition will take place.

Did I mention the food is free too? Hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drinks and popcorn will be provided for participants of Hobby Fest!
