Some people are just born with bodies that look like our creator spent a lot of extra time on them and dashed too much “sexy” into the concoction.
Then there is the other 70% of the population that battle with the constant mental tug-of war of being fit and being extremely disinterested on the treadmill for hours every week.
Lucky for us physically challenged, bored with working out people, the Insane Inflatable 5K is coming to Houston. The course includes “the world’s largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles ever created”. Who can be bored with inflatables?
My inner child jumped up and down with the news of the obstacle course and my first question was, “OK, where do I sign up?” Although the first deadline has passed for the more inexpensive pricing, there is still time to sign up and have a good time while burning loads of calories. The next registration deadline is January 15, 2016. There is no age restriction, but if you are height challenged, like myself, make sure you are at least above 42” tall. Also, if you prefer to just sit back and laugh at everyone else, spectators can do so for free. Team registration is also allowed and encouraged. Lastly, if you are a member of a bomb non-profit, like The Hive (side-eye with a smirk), there is an opportunity to make money for your charity, just by getting people to sign up with the special code given to you by the coordinators of the obstacle course.
Do not miss out on getting winter-time fine and having fun at the same time. What can beat revisiting your child hood, all while accomplishing some of your fitness goals? Yeah, I cannot think of anything either. Sign up at http://insaneinflatable5k.com/. Also, make sure you sign the waiver before attending the event, so that your fun is not put on hold!
Last, make sure you enjoy yourself and have a wonderful time!
