On Thursday night, November 19th, all of the cool kids in Houston (actually adults, at least according to their age) are going to be dressed up in black cocktail attire to attend an intimate yet elite fashion show featuring five upcoming designers along with invaluable opportunities to network and socialize with many influential people.
That sounds surreal, right? This event is called The Project Fashion Show, and it will be surreal. Also, partial proceeds go toward feeding hungry families in Houston (part of Tag Team Publicity’s “Donate A Meal” program) so while yes, it may be a treat to experience such an extravagant event, it would actually be a great act of selflessness to spend your Thursday night someplace that will help feed the hungry…[hr gap=””]
Notable designers, socialites, businesses and media alike attended 2014’s Project Fashion Show. The event was a huge hit, and fashion blogger Chloe Has Curves even said that the ambience reminded her of the shows she attended during New York Fashion Week. After last year’s highly successful show, interest has grown immensely and the 2015 Project Fashion Show is not one you are going to want to miss. This year’s show will feature the military inspired designs of army veteran Ryan Knew (@ryanxknew), the glamorously seductive styles of Dominique ViNae (@dominiquevinae), the high fashion street wear of Khari Bernard (@kharibernard), the vogue gowns of Chasity Sereal (@chasitysereal) and the beautifully edgy takes on classic looks from Christian Le (@christiancocole). What these five designers have in common is that they are all Houstonians and they are all ridiculously talented. I mean it. RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF TALENT. Besides that, they each come from different and unique backgrounds that have shaped them creatively and turned them into the standout designers they are today.
The Project Fashion Show, while open to all, has very limited seating due to the intimate nature of the show. Tickets are $30 for general admission, which is a total steal since it is such a memorable night and some of the proceeds go to charity, so they will definitely sell out quickly. Don’t worry, the link is right here so you can buy your tickets about three minutes sooner than you would if you had to search for it yourself.
