Last week’s artist showcase at Aerosol Warfare was everything we could have asked for and more.

When the Hive tells you to go to a party…you go to that party! Lee-Lonn, Bobby Earth, and Kyle Hubbard, Third World TV, and host, our bee, Peachez were a recipe for perfection at Aerosol Warfare last week…and that’s NOT just the (free!) Deep Eddy vodka talking.

Lyric Michelle

Peachez hosted and Third World TV provided sounds for Wednesday’s event at Aerosol Warfare.

Houston artists really showed what they were made of to the unexpected number of midweek partygoers. I got there a little later than I would have liked (work, bleh), but I got there right in time to grab a drink and catch Lyric Michelle take the stage…and take the stage, she did! It is obvious that Lyric is a natural-born performer, artist, and writer. It was super cool to see friends, fans, and unfamiliars singing along with her and grooving to her beats.

Although I didn’t catch Lee-Lon’s first performance, I did catch him and others on the Houston Snapchat story! Props to them for finally making Houston look cool! Lee-Lon also graced the microphone with his velvety voice for Lyric’s last, unreleased song, “Can’t Stop.”

Bee Keeper Adrian “Two’Eighty” Edmonds said of the party, “This event was full of genuine individuals; those who really love the culture of hip hop, and understand how much graffiti and street art intertwines with it. Good vibes, good times and good people. I salute Lyric for having a dope shindig.”

Fashion-forward Bee Mandee also attended the show and remarked, “By far one the best sets I’ve been to in a long time…the room was filled with love and support, and the artists feed off of that energy.”

If you missed out on this event, you truly missed out on a fun night and a brilliant exhibition of Houston’s creative culture.
