Propain, who hails from the Hiram Clarke community, aims to provide more than 1,000 students K-12 from a host of grade and high schools with the essential school supplies needed to have a successful academic year. The Ridin Slab artist recognizes the need for students within the community who have the potential to succeed yet whose socioeconomic status challenges their growth and development. A crop of local taste-makers, influencers, athletes, and entertainers will convene at Fonde Recreation Center (110 Sabine St, Houston, TX 77007) to support a worthy cause that will help promote education, health & wellness, sportsmanship, and unity.

Admission is $10 or $5 with a donation of school supplies. All donations collected from the charity basketball game will be given away in conjunction with Senator Rodney Ellis’ office’s back-to-school efforts and at Propain’s 4th annual hair cut and school supply giveaway on August 22nd for the upcoming 2015-2016 academic year.

The Hive Society loves when artists are actively involved with their communities, so we’ll DEFINITELY be there to support! Will we see you there?
