The humanity service movement that swept the nation is back in Houston for the holiday edition of #HashtagLunchbag Houston. Join us on December 13th at Grooves of Houston to help make a change!
I’m proud to announce that The Hive Society is partnering with the #HashtagLunchbag Houston for a holiday edition of the social movement that has swept the nation. You may recall the very first #HashtaglunchbagHou event where 100+ volunteers made 607 brown bag lunches that were distributed around Houston to feed homeless men, women and children.

#HashtagLunchbag is a humanity service movement dedicated to creating fun environments to bring together diverse groups of compassionate people in local communities across the world to focus out and give back in local communities. The mission is to inspire others to take part in service activities, while subsequently meeting the direct needs of local communities. Hunger is a large issue here in Houston, and affects a wide number of demographic groups. Through our program we have identified those outside of the homeless population who also face hunger; many of those are children.
At #HashtagLunchbag events, groups make fresh sandwiches and include two snacks and water in a brown paper bag and distribute the lunches to those in need.

Living through Giving Foundation
The Living Through Giving Foundation is a Los Angeles based non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring people of all backgrounds to give back through fun/cool activities and promotes paying it forward through the use of social media. It’s inaugural program, launched in 2012, #HashtagLunchbag has spawned to multiple cities across the world in a very short period of time and is on its way to ending world hunger, one lunch bag at a time. #HashtagLunchbag volunteers have served nearly 22,000 meals in over 60 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
How can I support #HashtagLunchbagHou?
This event relies 100% on donations! $10 pays for SIX lunches that we will distribute throughout the city of Houston the day of the event.. A $10 donation per volunteer is encouraged to help cover the costs of food and supplier. In addition to the monetary donation, we are also asking our volunteers to donate 1 winter item (e.g. hat, scarf, ear muffs, gloves, blanket) to be donated to Houston’s homeless. Donations can be made online or at the door but pre-event donations definitely help the organizers in advance.
Join The Hive Society and the #Hashtaglunchbag Houston team on December 13th as we set out to make 800 lunches for Houston’s homeless.
Even if you can’t make it, you can donate to our efforts to fight hunger. Click here to join and/or donate to help us fight hunger.
I hope to see you all on December 13th, remember to bring a warm item to donate!
