The Hive Society is a collective of young Houstonians that consider themselves lovers of music, art and culture. We believe in giving back to our community  fulfilling our mission. You may see The Hive Society post articles on music and art, at concerts and art shows, or other social settings like The Flat on a Saturday Night with Lunaface, but here in this #HiveLife short we want to show you our true purpose and what we really pride ourselves in doing in the midst of it all, COMMUNITY SERVICE.

In this short, you’ll see The Hive Society member’s volunteering for #HashtagLunchbagHou in which volunteers assembled and distributed 607 Lunches for Houston’s Homeless on August 9th 2014 fulfilling The Hive Society’s Mission. Honestly it was a very rewarding experience and it was definitely a humbling experience, being able to distribute food to those in need. It makes you realized how blessed some of us really are. I couldn’t find myself able to complain that day. About anything. Even the 300 degree heat. Nope. Not a complaint from me. I’m blessed.

It was a beautiful scene to work with all these volunteers! #HiveLife

Hope you like our #HiveLife Short # 2. Stay tuned to the bees for more volunteer/philanthropy opportunities in the city of Houston. We appreciate all the love and support and we hope to continue working with others in fulfilling the mission of making philantropy cool, and a habit, for those in our community.
